Agustín Giay Transfer from San Lorenzo to Palmeiras

Palmeiras has officially acquired Argentine defender Agustin Giay from San Lorenzo. He has signed a contract until June 30, 2029, and will be eligible to debut in mid-July after the opening of the transfer window. Giay can play both as a right-back and a midfielder. Palmeiras decided to purchase him after observing his performances in this year's Libertadores: 1-1 in Buenos Aires, 0-0 in Rio De Janeiro.

Agustín Giay signed a five-year contract with Palmeiras until June 2029. Palmeiras announced the signing, and Giay was previously referenced by Benfica, even last summer. Giay, 20 years old, has been serving San Lorenzo and joins Palmeiras for 7 million euros for 75% of his economic rights. Giay can only start playing after July 10, the opening date of the transfer window in Brazil.

Agustín Giay, a rising star of Argentine football and captain of the Albiceleste sub 20, is being closely followed by Atlético and many European clubs. However, Palmeiras, the most financially powerful club in South America, has entered the scene and is now leading the race to sign him.

Agustín Giay, a 20-year-old Argentinean, who has been serving at San Lorenzo, will arrive at Palmeiras for 7 million euros and will sign for five seasons with the Brazilian emblem.

A deal has been established between Palmeiras and the Argentine club based on 8 million euros for the acquisition of 80% of the card in favor of the São Paulo club. The 20-year-old player is already ready to move and sign his new blazing 5-year contract. Between Tuesday and Wednesday, the white smoke could arrive and the definitive closure of the agreement between the parties.
