Córdoba has officially confirmed receiving an offer from CSKA Sofia for center-back Adrián Lapena. The club's director, Antonio Fernández Monterubio, indicated during a press conference that the proposal is genuine and is currently under discussion. Córdoba's sporting director, Juan Gutierrez, noted that the club is giving careful consideration to CSKA's offer. The club has faced challenges with the center-back position this season and presently has five central defenders. Should Lapena be sold to CSKA, Córdoba is committed to recruiting a new player for the position. Lapena, who joined Córdoba in the summer of 2022, rapidly became a key figure in the team's defense. It is believed that CSKA Sofia has offered 600,000 euros for Lapena, whose contract is set to expire in the summer, and Córdoba is likely to accept the offer and part ways with one of its main players.
