Adrian Janusz, an 18-year-old goalkeeper from Poland, has completed his transfer from Newcastle United to Brentford. He has joined the academy at Brentford on a short-term contract, expected to last until June 30. Before this move, Janusz trained with Newcastle's first team and took part in UEFA Youth League matches. Born in Rzeszów, Poland, he advanced his football career in England following a period at Gateshead. He joined Newcastle United in 2023 and was involved with their youth teams. Last season, he played against Paris Saint-Germain and Milan in the UEFA Youth League and featured in a Premier League U-18 match. Despite being on the bench for a Premier League 2 match with Newcastle's U-21 squad, he did not get a chance to debut. Brentford made the announcement of his signing through a brief statement, in which they welcomed him to their academy.
