Abdallah Sima Transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion to Brest
Abdallah Sima scored on his first Champions League appearance for Brest and picked up the player of the match award. The former Rangers loanee joined the French side in another temporary move away from Brighton for this season. Rangers had hoped to bring the 23-year-old back for this season after he was one of their shining lights last season. Philippe Clement admitted that there was a desire to do so, but no deal could be struck with parent club Brighton.
Abdallah Sima has signed a season-long loan deal with Brest. He will play Champions League football after Brest's third-place finish last season. Sima's contract with Brighton expires in 2026, and there may be a possibility for a permanent deal next summer when he has a year left on his contract.
Abdallah Sima joins Stade Brestois on loan from Brighton. The 23-year-old Senegalese left winger previously played for Slavia Prague, Stoke City, Angers, and Glasgow Rangers. While at Rangers, he scored 16 goals in 39 matches, helping the team finish second in the league and win the Scottish League Cup.
Abdallah Sima will undergo his medical examination on Wednesday before committing to Brest as part of a loan deal without a purchase option. The agreement between the two clubs is based on a paid loan without a purchase option. Sima is expected to join for one season, pending final approval.
Negotiations have accelerated for the loan of Brighton's right winger Abdallah Sima. An agreement is close to being reached for a loan without a purchase option.
