Chelsea has decided to end Aaron Anselmino's loan spell at Boca Juniors ahead of schedule. The young central defender is set to join Chelsea's first team immediately. Chelsea and Boca Juniors had originally agreed on a transfer deal valued at approximately 16.5 million euros last summer. Anselmino was initially expected to remain in Buenos Aires until the summer of 2025, but Chelsea has chosen to recall him to London six months early. Transfer journalists Fabrizio Romano and Ben Jacobs have reported the decision. Anselmino is scheduled to start training with Chelsea next week. There is a possibility of a new loan period within Europe, although it will not be to Strasbourg, as was initially discussed when the deal was first signed.

Aaron Anselmino was sold to Chelsea at the beginning of the year for 18 million euros. He will remain on loan at Boca Juniors until June 2025, although Chelsea had the option to recall him in January.
